Southern Pan Services was incorporated in 1987 as a concrete formwork
subcontractor. The owners of SPS had previously been in the business of form
rental and formwork erection since 1980. They determined in 1987 that the
market would be better served by an exclusive formwork subcontracting
SPS opened its Miami office in 1995 to better serve the South Florida market
and in the following year expanded into the total-frame market.
Southern Pan Services averages 12 to 18 completions per year. Since
1987, SPS has successfully completed over 450 projects ranging in contract
size from $100,000 to $18 million. In 1987, SPS fielded 5 crews whereas
today we field 35 crews, relying on our superintendents to install the work
backed up by highly skilled project managers, project engineers and field
engineering crews. In the last five years, SPS has formed and erected
over 20 million square feet of elevated structures.
In addition to highly-motivated project managers, we have installed a fully
integrated job cost accounting system in which superintendents can input
data with a computer and access their job cost information from the field.
We continue to improve our information systems under the direction of our
Information Technology department. Our estimating department uses the latest
technology for quantity takeoff and estimation of cost using our extensive
database of historical performance. Our drafting professionals use the
latest in CAD software.
Our senior management consists of 7 highly-skilled and motivated
professionals ranging in education and experience.
